The news that shocked the whole football world tonight was that Fabio Capello has resigned as England manager. Although he was meant to leave, he still was the man to lead England to the Euro 2012.
Now, I am Croatian so I don't really care who will replace him, but as a big football fan, especially of English football, I think these are the three best solutions to replace Capello:
Harry Redknapp
The most likely solution. Harry did a great job at Spurs, who currently sit third in the league table, in front of Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. Under Redknapp, Tottenham are playing some of the best football in the league.
The FA stated that they want an Englishman to replace Capello, and Redknapp seems the obvious solution.
Rafa Benitez

Although he is Spanish, and never managed a national team, Rafa seems like a good option to replace Capello, as he has lots of experience in England, having managed Liverpool for 6 years.

Rafa has also won far more trophies than Redknapp has, including two La Liga titles, an Euro Cup and a Champions League title.
Currently unemployed, Rafa would be the perfect solution short term. In the long term, however, he would most likely want to return to club management.
Jose Mourinho

Mourinho is the biggest managerial name in current football.
Having won almost every trophy he had a possibility of winning, he would be most fans' dream manager.
Rumoured to be leaving Real Madrid in the summer, he would be a great replacement for Capello. It is hard to imagine him taking over the job though, as he is probably more interested in returning to the Premier League.
For other possible managers, I have to mention Martin O˙Neill, who would be a fantastic solution for England. I also want to apologise to Roy Hodgson for not mentioning him in the top 3.
If I made a top 5, you would definitely be in it Roy!
